Opening Question / Icebreaker:

• When you were a teenager, what brand of clothes or shoes did you feel like you “had” to have? 
• Where is your favorite place to buy clothes?

Observation & Interpretation Questions:

• What is the link between treasure and heart?  Between heart and eye?  Between eye and body? 

• How does our choice of treasure, master and sight affect our attitude?  Take some time to dig into this question.

• What does God’s care for the birds and lilies teach us? 

• How does the idea of work ethic fit into this passage?

• How does faith fit into this passage?   

Application Questions:

• Considering this past week, is your “bank” on earth or in heaven?    

• What are signs that indicate we are worrying or anxious too much? 

Closing Activity:

• Share with the group one step you can take to counteract worry or anxiety to concentrate on the Kingdom of God.
