Week 4 (Sept. 29-Oct 5) – Being with God

Opening Question / Icebreaker: (answer one or both)

• What was your secret hiding place when you were a child? 

• For you, what is the most beautiful place on earth that you have seen with your eyes? 

Pray Together

• Read the passage together. 

Observation & Interpretation Questions:

• What is the mystery of Christ that Paul can now proclaim?  Why is that good news for us?

• What is the role of God’s grace in Paul’s life?  In your life?

• According to this passage, how would you describe the role of the church? 

•  How would you express Paul’s prayer for the Ephesians in 3:16-19 in your own words? 

• What other aspects of Paul’s testimony and prayer in this chapter stand out to you?

Application Questions:

• How have you experienced being with God?  How has that strengthened you in your inner being?

• What changes have occurred in your life or what changes might still occur because you are confident of Christ’s love for you?    

Closing Activity:

• Share something with the group that God could do that would be “immeasurably more” than what you could even imagine. 

Close in Prayer - To start the closing prayer time, spend some time in stillness and silence and then thank God for His desire to be with us and the work of His Son which makes that possible.
