Opening Question / Icebreaker:

• Who among your peers do you regard as “most mature”? Why?

Observation & Interpretation Questions:

• From this passage, what problems do you think Paul was concerned about in the church at Ephesus?

• What qualities are to characterize a person who “walks in a manner worthy of the calling” (v.1)?

• How does each quality promote unity and growth in the church? 

• What is the purpose of the various gifts Paul mentions (v. 8-13)?

• What is the climatic point of this whole passage? How will this happen? 

Application Questions:

• From this passage, what is the problem with trying to live the Christian life apart from the church?

• In what ways do we need others in the church?  What do you have to offer others in the church?

• How does living your faith contribute to the growth of the Church?
