When Ministry is Performed:

    Sunday Evening Small Group Leader

    Mission: To engage with students in a safe environment to help them realize how important they are in God’s plan and to help them get ready to serve.


    Who can serve: Open to all adults

    Team Member Responsibilities (typical Sunday):

  • Show up 15 minutes early to every Sunday Night session.
  • Spend time connecting with students and making them feel welcomed.
  • Help with Setup and Tear Down.
  • Help facilitate discussion times. You will be given discussion topics, activities and ques-tions that you will need to look through ahead of time and adjust for your group.
  • Know and follow the up-to-date Bridgetown Church of Christ Child and Youth Protection Policies.
  • Attend all events, meetings, and gatherings for volunteers.
  • Spend some time outside of the program connecting with a small list of students (birthday cards, occasional check in) and parents.

  • When Ministry is Performed:

  • Two main sessions lasting around 15 weeks each
  • Special events: 1 Big event/ year

  • Time Requirements:

  • Total: 2 hours on Sunday evenings
  • 8 Hours/ year total for relevant meetings and extra events

  • Length of Commitment: 30 weeks of a year


    Training: Provided on-site


    Responsible To: The Student Minister

    Sunday Morning Discussion Leader

    Mission: To engage the students on Sunday morning by taking an interest in them and to support the program by checking students in and leading discussion questions.


    Who can serve: Open to all adults

    Team Member Responsibilities (typical Sunday):

  • Arrive 30 minutes before the start of service (10am) and meet in the designated area for briefing and prayer
  • Show up to your discussion leading shifts PREPARED to lead an engaging discussion.
  • Learn your students’ names (as quick as you can).
  • Communicate any materials needed to the Student Minister, by Wednesday prior to your Sunday to lead.
  • Know and follow the up-to-date Bridgetown Church of Christ Child and Youth Protection Policies.
  • Attend all events, meetings, and gatherings for volunteers.
  • Spend some time outside of the program connecting with a small list of students (birthday cards, occasional check in) and parents.
  • When Ministry is Performed:

  • Every other Month (You will lead twice in that month)
  • Special events: 1 Big event/ year

  • Time Requirements:

  • 30 minutes before church for prayer meeting
  • Total: 45 minutes on Sunday & 8 Hours/ year total for relevant meetings and events

  • Length of Commitment: 6 months over a year


    Training: Provided on-site

    Sunday Morning Teacher

    Mission: To create engaging content to allow a student to think about and respond to God’s big call on their lives.


    Who can serve: Open to all adults

    Team Member Responsibilities (typical Sunday):

  • Arrive 30 minutes before the start of service (10am) and meet in the designated area for briefing and prayer
  • Show up to your teaching shifts PREPARED to teach.
  • Learn your students’ names (as quick as you can).
  • Communicate any materials needed to the Student Minister, by Wednesday prior to your Sunday to teach.
  • Show up to your helping shifts ready to help with whatever the teacher may need (the months you are on to teach, you will be a helper on the weeks you are not teaching).
  • Know and follow the up-to-date Bridgetown Church of Christ Child and Youth Protection Policies.
  • Attend all events, meetings, and gatherings for volunteers.
  • Spend some time outside of the program connecting with a small list of students (birthday cards, occasional check in) and parents.
  • When Ministry is Performed:

  • Every other Month (You will teach twice in that month)
  • Special events: 1 Big event/ year

  • Time Requirements:

  • 30 minutes before church for prayer meeting
  • Total: 45 minutes on Sunday & 8 Hours/ year total for relevant meetings and events

  • Length of Commitment: 6 months over a year
