bcsm exists to: “Love teenagers and help them take their next steps towards Jesus.”
We know the best way we can do that is by partnering with your family, joining together with you as you raise your students in a world that looks way different than when we were teenagers. Our roles are different but our desires are the same: to see your student become all that God intends.
Our mission drives our programming. To accomplish our mission though, we know we need to provide students with a safe & secure place that gives their families peace of mind while they are in our care. To that end, all of our volunteers go through a thorough application process complete with references and background checks.
The Bridgetown Church Student Movement is all about turning the world upside down by turning our lives upside down for other people.
That is why every student will find COMMUNITY, PURPOSE and MISSION here that goes beyond the walls of Bridgetown Church of Christ. All of these things are possible because of this foundational TRUTH: God wants to have a relationship with each of us. These are the foundations of our movement.
On Sunday mornings at 10:30 am, students will meet in one of the youth rooms for a game or two and dynamic Biblical teaching that applies directly to their lives. We take communion together and then head into the sanctuary to join the adults for worship. They can sit with their parents or in the bcsm reserved seats. Every week
bcsm@night is a little more laid back and fun. On Sunday Evenings at 5:30 PM, we check you in, play some games, participate in a late night talk show, worship, hear a short teaching, then spend some time eating a snack together and talking. But the goal is that each week you will leave having practiced the things we learn from Scripture. This semester's focus is service. Meets 30 weeks out of the year.

We desire to partner with your family, to join together with you as you raise your children in a quickly changing world. The roles of the church & the family are different but our desires are the same: to see your child become all that God intends.

To accomplish our mission though, we know we need to provide children with a safe & secure place that gives their families peace of mind while they are in our care. Bridgetown Kids offers a staffed Nursery for children 0-24 months. Our team is ready to provide loving care for your youngest children. As part of the security & check-in process families will be issued a claim tag that can be used to contact you with the paging system should there be a need for your assistance.
For families with newborns or very young children who may not be ready to be in the Nursery without mom/dad/family, we have a Nursing & New Moms Room that is stocked with diapers, wipes, onesies, comfy seating, and a live video stream of the service. This room is open to moms with new babies 0-12mos. There is also a Family Room available for families with younger children who may not want to or be ready to go to Bridgetown Kids. The Family Room has a few toys, comfy seating, and a feed of the service.
Bridgetown Kids' 2yrs-5th grade programming is available during the 10:30am service. Classes are broken up by age & grade for 2-3yrs, 4-Pre-K, K-1st Grade, and 2nd-5th Grade children. Our Bridgetown Kids Team works hard to ensure a welcoming, fun environment where kids are taught the Bible in a way that engages their imagination and connects to their life.

That makes complete sense to us. Stepping into a room with lots of other kids, strangers and maybe a lot of movement would seem a bit intimidating to most adults. That is why we have our main room divided into 3 areas during drop off - a quiet area with arts/crafts, blocks, board games, and quieter activities, another area that is sports focused for higher energy with basketball etc, and a third area that is an open space for kids to do gymnastics, ride scooters etc. Also, we can pair them up with one of our room ambassadors, another kid to be a buddy 🙂
We would love to make them feel welcomed and loved in this way. And if they are just not able to enjoy the experience, we can always page you using our in-service paging system and let you know.
